How much does it cost?

Only £130 (includes preservation box and fully insured return postal service) and no hidden charges and nothing to pay until your dress has been cleaned.

What`s included?

Classiclean of Harrogate`s professional high quality wedding dress cleaning service, a  preservation box using acid free tissue paper to protect your dress and a fully insured return postage service up to a value of £2500.

Simple and hassle free, no waiting at home for couriers to collect your dress. Simply box your dress and send it to us with your details and return address and we will do the rest.

A large cardboard box works best to pack your dress. First fold the dress inside a large bag or dress cover and then carefully place the dress into the box. Please do not stuff the dress into the box as this may cause damage to the dress.

The following details must be included when you send your dress:

  • Full name
  • Return postal address
  • contact telephone number
  • email address
  • Dress value for return insurance

When your dress is ready to be returned we will contact you for payment.

What happens after I send my dress?

Once we receive your dress we will contact you via phone or email so you know your dress has arrived safely. Our specialist wedding dress cleaner (Mrs Donna Williams) will then inspect your dress and decide which method is best for the cleaning process. In the unlikely event that there are any issues with cleaning your dress we will contact you by telephone to discuss it with you before we go any further.

We can still clean your wedding dress even if the label states any of the following:

  • Do not dry clean
  • Spot clean only
  • Must be cleaned using the Baptiste method by Terrington Burchett

Can you get all the stains out of my dress?

That cannot be guaranteed due to the very delicate nature of some fabrics (particularly in wedding dresses) and the age and nature of the stain.  Generally the sooner the dress is cleaned after your big day the better the chance of successfully removing the stains.

Classiclean of Harrogate promises that your dress will always receive our very best effort. If we cannot remove the stains either can anybody else.

Are there any risks?

Unfortunately yes, but the risks are very small. We must however inform you beforehand. Not to do so woud be dishonest.

We will always treat your dress with the upmost care during the cleaning process however we cannot accept responsibility for trimmings, ornate embellishments, loose sequins or any other decorations which are unsuitable for the cleaning process. Fabric imperfections may worsen and be more apparent after cleaning ( it is often impossible to pre-screen out these kind of imperfections).

Fabric weaknesses may result in broken threads, occasionally this can lead to tears to the fabric.

During the cleaning cycle the dress will obviously come into contact with other parts of the dress. In isolated instances this can lead to damaged or lost beads and can sometimes cause damage to the fabric itself. It is impossible to prevent this.

We will keep you fully informed of any issues in the unlikely event that they arrise. There will be no nasty surprises when your dress is returned.

If you need any advice whatsoever before you send your dress please dont hesitate to call us.

In the highly unlikely event that your dress is lost or damaged in the post we will pay half of the value of the dress when new. This will take into account wear and tear as well as the reduced value of the dress having been worn. Please ensure that you have your dress receipt as you will need to send a copy to us for our insurers.
